Great episode and a fitting tribute to a fine man.
It was interesting to think about just how Prince and Clare worked together. It seems obvious now, but I’d never really considered that Prince might have been cherry picking from Clare’s orchestrations; fading in what he liked and cutting out what didn’t fit. Just imagine how much unheard material might be stored away.
Thank you, Clare, for many years of listening bliss. Even if we never get to hear more of those distinctive strings, what we do have will forever brighten up my life.
